  I brought my dog here and was most disappointed by the male vet who saw her. As a nurse I am familiar with medications, and I felt as though the vet over-prescribed medications to make more money. There were multiple meds prescribed that would have the same and compounded effect. This vet also did not seem very confident or knowledgeable. I love my animals and it is of the utmost importance that when they need medical attention, you feel as though they are in capable hands. This was certainly not my impression of the vet we saw.

  Compassionate, Caring and with a Pet's comfort first attitude!!! Couldn't have selected a better Veterinary Clinic for my pets (little furry children). All staff are wonderful and handle your pet like they are their own.

  I am on a fixed income and my dog was in really rough shape.. :( I called my big name vet who I had been faithful too since they opened up on the mountain and had soaked me for $1000's of dollars yearly...They claimed that they could not help me and there prices after I found out later were the same all the others..after calling around I found Fruitland Vets...They were so nice on the phone and they told me to come in right away.. :) The staff there was so caring and the prices were much lower then my old big named vet....They even helped me with financing...sadly my 16 year old Shepard was on her way to the rainbow bridge...Thank you to all the staff for being so caring and helpful to me and my family...I recommend fruitland to everyone who believes that there pet are one of the family and not just a number...

  I took my chinchilla there a few weeks ago, the vet was very rough with him, grabbing him very hard and not taking in account his small and fragile state. The vet told me that he has a respiratory infection which was correct, but also told me that chinchillas have certain bacteria in the stomachs and are not meant to take antibiotics and therefore told me that my chinchilla could only take them for three days and that if he stopped eating to stop giving him all medication and bring him in to be put down. I didn't listen to that advice and kept giving him the meds and just took him to another vet that said that information was incorrect and that my chinchilla should have been on them for at least two weeks before bringing him in for re-examination. I would highly recommend to not bring chinchillas to this veterinary hospital.
